The Leaders of Sustainable Biofuels are happy to announce that the Netherlands office of TechnipFMC has joined the LSB coalition.
Gloria Gaupmann, Chair of LSB and Head of Public Affairs, Technology & Innovation at Clariant, welcomes TechnipFMC: “It is great to see an important process technology player join our coalition. The revision of the Renewable Energy Directive (REDII), has clearly increased interest in advanced biofuels as a solution to decarbonize transport.”
Increasing public pressure to act on climate change and to live up to the commitments from the Paris agreement have put the transport sector at the forefront. Advanced biofuels are currently being developed and deployed across the EU and are one key solution to substantially cut greenhouse gas emissions from transport.
Hans Brasker, Managing Director at TechnipFMC in Zoetermeer, stated:” As part of its commitment to meet the world’s energy challenges, TechnipFMC leverages its refining experience to provide alternative energy and bio-based products through the delivery of new renewable technologies. Our commitment fits in perfectly with the LSB principle of developing and investing in innovative, advanced and environmentally sound advanced biofuel industrial systems and we are pleased to contribute to it.”
